I remember when the new “Roswell” came on.
I thought, well the original was pretty good so I will check it out. I had not watched a full minute before there was some crap about immigration and sicking the ACLU on someone.
I never got to see the rest so don’t know if it was any good. I had already turned the channel.

The bitchy young woman at the start saying she didn’t get her grant because “somebody needed his wall” or something like that.
Other snide remarks about illegal immigration.
The whole story line about young twenty-somethings with unusual powers that were hatched from eggs connection to the 1947 Roswell crash made no sense.
I didn’t last a full episode either, and have not tried to watch another episode since.
I did not even know there was a remake; I would have assumed it was fodder for propaganda about bigots othering aliens.
I enjoyed the original series: modest effects, but good acting, and sometimes good scripting.
Oh, so you missed the Roswell Gay Storyline that followed.
Not kidding, it really happened. I tried to stomach all the Illegal Invader stuff, Humans and otherwise, but when they went there I was done.
