I never answer my phone if the caller’s name doesn’t come up or if I don’t recognize the number. Even if its a local number. If it’s someone I don’t know, I don’t want to talk to them anyway.
But you still have to go to the phone to read the ID.
The call blocker I use will never run out of ‘black listing’ memory and my phone never even rings from robocalls. My house is rid of unwanted calls, has been for three years.
