Sessions was at the D_J a couple Friday’s ago for the awarding of a chair - there were great accolades heaped upon him by Barr and [RR]

It’s irritating that I can’t link, but I did read an article on American Thinker that reported that it was Rod Rosenstein who was among the few counselors with whom Sessions received advice on recusing.

To paraphrase the scenario, Sessions was so gob smacked by Rosenstein that he elected to recuse and was never the same, after, essentially demoralized.

It’s my personal (and minority ) opinion that Sessions reflected that very behavior, as being quite demoralized.

I have no idea what was said to Sessions that caused him to virtually disappear and to abdicate from his charge, or why he would appear before congressional committees unarmed, unprepared and be seen having to turn to some female aide, whom we never knew or heard of, before he could answer basic questions from Republican friends on the committee, whose Party is the same.

I was so embarrassed for him, I could have cried. No one knows where he is now. And, even just a few days ago, POTUS still referred to him as an AG... “who didn’t have a clue”.

Something brutal must have happened to Sessions. His reaction to it was real and visible (imho) and quite understandable, but it did hurt the president, who counted on Justice rising and Finally landing a heavy footprint, against the deeply embedded Department corruption, and a far sooner than now.
