This CTH article has an amazing analysis and timeline of the events in the attempted coup. Originally, it was to keep Trump from winning and probably to ruin him and his family after the election. When he won, it was to try to get him out of office. Short of that, it was to cripple his administration. This criminal counterintelligence investigation did help lose the House to the Dems.

And it was actually a blessing...If I'm not mistaken..no Mia Love and some other RINOs. We are seeing these crazy freshmen out in everyones face. We had a lame House so hopefully next election it will be more Republican Trump.
