The worlds most popular mobile game PlayerUnknown's Battleground, AKA PUBG, is facing a nationwide ban in India over concerns that it is turning children into manorogi, or psychopaths.
Multiple cities in the country have already outlawed the game, there have been at least 16 arrests of people who ignored the ban and one 11-year-old boy reportedly took gamemaker Tencent to court for promoting violence and cyber-bullying.
The National Child Rights Commission (NCPCR) recommended banning the game because of the violence prevalent throughout. There are dangerous consequences to this game, the Navbharat Times warned in an editorial. Many children have lost their mental balance.

The manifesto from NZ was a ploy to bait and set a narrative. Good job India, you got hoodwinked. From the time of Pong, people have claimed video games are the bane of the youth and will make them into psycho killers. No socialism and marxism will do that faster than playing a round of hopscotch.

Ridiculous, that Chinese youth are permitted to play the game, but Indian youth might not be.

I play everyday. One or two two sessions. Each last anywhere from 1 - 30 minutes. Way less blood gut and gore than any other first person shooter I’ve played, but it is way more realistic too, especially on the PS4 while wearing headphones.
