Claims that he completed community service in an unrelated case, so that’s enough to drop 16 felony charges, even mail fraud. Wow! What a unique concept. Criminals can now perform community service and get credit for it when they commit new crimes down the road. I’m betting Jussie completed his “community service” work in the men’s bathroom somewhere.
Rahm is not running for re-election. He knows this decision probably won’t play well with the “money” in Chicago.
Foxx has been suspected of corruption since she was elected. She was contacted by Smollett’s family and put pressure on the Chicago PD to not investigate and let the FBI handle it.
He probably has to look out for his next gig.
