I dont know what the solution to bad schools are, but I’m confident that school choice will destroy the good schools.

Most Christian schools do not have better teachers than public schools. They are better because parents care a lot more on average, and the riffraff can be kept out.

If there is limited seating, but money for all, guess who might have to give up their seat.

Cindy C’s grades for Amy A’s and Willy White for Deborah Diversity.

Among other things, this is what can and does kill good public schools. By law, they have to accept any human of the right age who lives in the district. One or two “bad families” can wreak havoc on a school. I’ve seen it happen more than once. As a teacher you pray that they’ll move away. Families that can afford an alternative school will pull their good kids out to get them away from the bad ones.

Two bad kids in a class will take up 50-70% of a teacher’s time. Three or four in a class will guarantee that little learning will take place as long as they are there. If the kids are of a “protected class” or God forbid “handicapped”, the school’s hands are pretty much tied.
