This screams wheelchair. I’ve been going through this very thing with my mom (90 and German).

I think most people would be fine with an 85 year old Justice who just completed surgery to be in a wheelchair. Whatever is wrong with her is much much worse.
Maybe in a bed with breathing tubes? Perhaps absolutely wasting away? Or like I suggested before, she is a brain in a jar.
