Yes. My father wore khaki’s from time he got out of the Army after WWII, except when working in the field on the farm equipment. Then he wore Roundhouse bibb overalls. His explanation? They are cool, comfortable, dust falls out, and they can be washed forever.
When he did construction work, he was a general contractor, he always wore khaki’s and he hunted in them too.
I don’t think my father ever wore khakis except occasionally during WWII when he wasn’t in fatigues or the rare occasions he wore the dress uniform , ... But on the other hand, HIS father probably wore them, shirt and pants from WWI until he died, except for the occasional dress occasion.
I like them because they are comfortable, yet OK for any situation from casual business dress, to running errands, to outdoors stuff.
