:: strategically EXPECTING Trump to resign like Nixon ::

And Trump (may re-election be upon him) will show the world WHY Nixon was wrong to resign instead of fight. The Dhimmicrats have not ^learned^ from history and Trump is teaching the lesson.

1972: Dem House becomes obsessed with Watergate, many legislative projects were set aside in the effort to ruin Nixon (congress isn’t doing what they were elected to do).
1974: Nixon tires of the fight and gives the House its victory under the guise of not dividing the electorate.

2018: House is consumed with investigating Trump. Many legislative projects go unattended. Congress isn’t doing what they were elected to do. Trump says, “Bring IT! I’ll fight and show the electorate what piss-poor congressmen they elected.”

That’s what Nixon should have done.

I can whole heartedly agree with this assessment.

I still have a coulda, woulda, shoulda wish regarding the whole Watergate mess. Nixon made his bed when he tried to hide his knowing about the break in. When he first learned of it he should have publicly denounced the illegal entry into the office. There was never any evidence that he was involved in the planning stages. He just couldn’t abide having his name dragged through the mud.

I contend that his mistake was not contesting 1960 for the sake of national unity. Right there the dems knew they had their mark.
