Found out today that on of our lake neighbors was on the ship and got airlifted out by helicopter. I’m talking winched up into the chopper with just the clothes on his back
Wow! He has a harrowing tale to tell. Glad he is OK.
Watched some people get winched off the roof of the apartments I was staying in when we got flooded. They were bringing out people with health problems that needed to be with electricity. Watching a helicopter up close, hovering that low, really brings to mind that they are very unlikely flying machines.
