Without discussing the subject matter (McCain Mutiny), and as an ardent supporter of President Trump, I can agree with you completely about “Tweets”. I have been hoping against all odds that our President would stop with all the tweets, especially the personal attacks upon his detractors which are legion.
Not all, but many of our Presidents wounds seem self inflicted.
But I also understand that he is a proud and vain man and has a long history of not taking crap from anyone.
The tweets, however, are so often counter productive in my most humble opinion.
I can not disagree with you more regarding Trump’s tweets. Tweets are his way of fighting back and we saw spectacularly with Bush what happens when a Republican doesn’t fight back. Tweets are his only way to get the truth out through the filter of the left media, which is more and more including Fox News. As far as self inflicted wounds — what you call wounds are nothing more than attacks by the media, Democrats and never-Trumpers who use his truthful tweets as excuses to attack him. They attack him anyway, so why not fight back — that’s the key and that is what they hate. They are not used to someone fighting back and it is good that he does. His personal attacks are fine with me. They are constantly personally attacking, not only him, but Melania and Barron so they deserve to be attacked in return. He should never quit tweeting. When they constantly attack his tweeting, they are giving a tell that they know they don’t like it because it hurts them otherwise, they would be telling him to keep tweeting. Why a Republican or conservative would want him to stop baffles me because it is obviously effective.
Never was a McCain fan since the early 90s, but the guy is dead and buried. I don’t see that mentioning him is worth it unless one were to say that he can’t back stab us any longer and let it go at that. The President bringing up McCain only elevates McCain...he’s better forgotten.
