Just good music..
SRV
So great
He had a great singing voice as well
here is one that I think highlights his vocals:
Another one lost much too young.
I pre-ordered “Texas Flood” on vinyl from Mobile Fidelity months ago - still waiting for them to release it. Ironically, that album was the first I ever got on CD when it came out.
His version of “Honey Bee” still brings me to my feet. And he was great live.

stevie ray and jimmy vaughn play the same guitar

He quit drinking and had a real conversion too. Said his playing was better for it as a bonus
Amen.
He came close to killing himself with that ****. Wound up losing his 1st wife as well.
The video recording with Stevie Ray and Albert King is great
That cat could really lay down some licks. His muzack never gets old. Only better with age.
Always.
Live at the Montreux is one of his best performances.
Stevie Ray Vaughan Live at Montreux 1985 FULL CONCERT

I like him during this soundcheck. Look like he just woke up
and then he starts.... :o)
Yep, him and Albert are awesome together. I saw him at least 12 times live, never got to see Albert live. I blame Stevie in a large part to my tennitus. LOL.
I saw him live with Huey Lewis and the News and the News was far better. SRV himself was good but his backup band wasn’t up to his standards. It was really evident when the 2 bands got together for a jam session near the end of the show.
It was 1982 and I was driving from Hobby out Westheimer to a sometime love of my life had let me know while I was off in South America working that when I got back to Miami I was entitled to whats called a booty call weekend
I didnt need much encouraging...leggy blonde southern girl who looked like Olivia Newton John....
Anyhow Im happily tooling along in traffic and listening to I think KLOL which had been underground FM in its heyday and anyhow they played a concert tape of Stevie doing Voodoo Chile
Man was a I floored ....more like Hendrix than Mahogany Rush or Trower were
Just perfect
I told my paramour when I g9t there and she told me his band Double Trouble played around the area frequently
Its funny how you remember first time you heard someone so impressive
My wife of many years...punk rock girl...loves Stevie Ray
