Yeah I’m a millennial myself and I see a lot of people my age are absolutely miserable and usually have depression or anxiety problems. The mental health of this country is in terrible shape and life expectancy for white males has been dropping for several years because of suicide. There’s a lot of debt laden people stuck in dead end jobs underemployed and have no friends or community to be a part of. 2019 America is a pretty alienating and miserable place to be in many cases.

As to your first observation, I would ask you to consider why these people are miserable and have depression or anxiety problems? I believe it’s because they have a terribly unrealistic understanding of reality. What they desperately need to learn is that absolutely no one owes them a damn thing. I’ve personally known young people, and many of them who, instead of whining and bitching and sitting on their asses playing with their smartphones, worked part-time jobs, paid their own way through college, or got full-time jobs and worked their way up to higher positions and better salaries. As to the debt-laden people stuck in dead-end jobs, most all of them are debt-laden because they are self-spoiled spendthrifts who should be grateful they have so-called dead-end jobs. The Labor Department reported last Friday that there are now one million more jobs available than the number of unemployed! And finally, there are countless organizations around the country where young people who are moaning because they have no friends can go to find friends. Bottom line: The self-indulgent introverts you’re referring to need to stop acting like spoiled brats and get a life. They could begin by looking for places to volunteer their idle time helping people who really are physically and/or mentally in need of a helping hand.
