Back when Rap was coming up out of the cellar the Letters to the Editor section of Keyboard magazine was a war zone, with half of them yammering about creative genius and the other half screaming that it wasn’t even music.
One guy wrote in that it didn’t matter ‘cause white folks had already Had Rap for Ages. They called it Square Dancing.
I still liken rap more to the natives in darkest Africa beating on logs and yelping around the fire.
