To: Hot Tabasco
Look up the number of human deaths every year marathons.

These dogs are bred to run and are not being coerced in any way. I suspect many more dogs die due to owner neglect in the lower 48 than die from dogsledding.

That being said I would be interested in the opinions of his fellow mushers.

Neither are fight dogs that are bred to fight.......

In 2018 330 dogs were pulled out of the race due to injuries, illness or exhaustion...........

Pointers are bred to hunt but they're not driven to hunt day after day after day until they drop from exhaustion.

You want to have sled dog races then I'm fine with that as long as you don't force them to run 1,000 miles for two weeks straight.........

For what it's worth, the requirement of the Iditarod is that you can have a max of only 16 dogs but have to finish with only five......

So what does that tell you about the teams that only ended up with 5, 6, 8 or 10 dogs? What happened to those that were dropped since you claim they were bred to run?????

This is a race that brutalizes dogs, not the riders and should be banned..........
