I have a different take on this...
What if the Senate voted for the POTUS and therefore was at odds with the House? The whole issue would still be unresolved and Trump still would not have the funding.
HOWEVER- by voting the way the Republicans did and siding with the House, Trump could now veto the bill...and get his wall...
Back room politics on the part of the Senate Republicans? Could be....I'm just sayin'.....
Had the senate voted with pdjt, the matter wouldnt have even been returned to the whites house ( thus, the president would not have had anything requiring a veto and he would have been able to build the walk without the spectacle weve witnessed).
