Appropriate response. I know some too and have taught them in school. Told one specifically that if the violence by radicals didn't stop, we were going to see some terrible conflict here. He was told that over 10 years ago. Some people never listen to what they are told.

The problem is Muslims and Islam are intrinsically joined. Muslims may be great people, but Islam is their crazy religion. It is backward looking and uses death as its enforcement mechanism so there is little likelihood it will ever change. No one will ever dare rewrite or reinterpret the Quran. Infidel accommodation is taking the fool’s road to Islam/sharia domination. It just is what it is.

Muslim doctrine says that some classes of people be killed, and some behaviors, especially by women, be punishable by barbaric means of execution.

Islam cannot be reformed because Muslims believe the Koran is the word of God given to Muhammad via the angel Gabriel. You can't change that.
Muhammad is singled out as the example for Muslims to follow.
The Caliphs who followed Muhammad ; Abu Bakhr- Umar-Uthman- Ali, all personally knew Muhammad and followed his examples so they had no problem interpreting how Islam was to be implemented. They were there at it's founding. They understood the basics.
There are 1400 years of examples of Muslim fundamentalists killing us Kafirs by following the basics of Islam..
