If they don’t have any money, why in the hell are they let into this country? I remember back in the mid ‘80’s when wealthy Chinese were leaving Hong Kong and emigrating to Vancouver. That jurisdiction would not grant residency unless each head of household brought $500,000 in liquid assets into Canada. Usually it was in bullion or coins. Nobody uttered a protesting peep that I heard back then.
Yeah, round trip airline ticket, cash for 90 days, hotel reservations and of course a passport. Pretty much a standard for all countries.
