TGIFF! Its Fiddle Friday and also Country Roots time. John Dilleshaw was a band leader and guitar player who fronted several groups, including Seven Foot Dilly & the Hot Pickles (he was 6'7") and Dilly & His Dill Pickles. Bibb County Hoe Down was recorded on Nov. 10, 1930 as Dilly & Big New Group. That is Lowe Stokes on fiddle and Dilleshaw laying down some pretty mean bass runs on guitar.
