Twin turbo V8 making 900-1,000hp in a Corvette.
Wow.
250mph? Easy.

Even if I could afford one that has to be dangerous for an unskilled driver.

100 linked computers. Drive by wire.
When you accelerate, does the software drive the nose down?

GM trying to make a mid-engine supercar on the cheap. Likely what they’re doing can’t be done for a $70k selling price.

P.R. stunt? I remember when Honda came out with the CBX bike that there were claims that release was delayed because the handlebars kept bending under acceleration. Total BS.

This is going overboard. Why so much power? Just to be king on your block? Where is the market here? Perhaps a few thousand at best? Needless power and extravagance IMHO.

Collectors worldwide.
There won’t be many miles put on them except by the very rich, who have another in the garage.

Why 900HP? Because you can’t get more.
I have a C4. I don’t think I have ever had it over 110 and then only very shortly on an expressway entrance ramp. Why you ask, I don’t know, my wife keeps asking the same question but, it is fun!

This system is said to incorporate more than 100 interlinked computers on its Computer Area Network To think my old 67 427 cu. in. Vette did not even have power steering.
To: JAKraig
I did that on a motorcycle, once, in the fast lane of an interstate. Never again.

“Likely what theyre doing cant be done for a $70k selling price.”
They’ve astounded the world multiple times on a price/performance measure.
Of course it won’t be $70,000. Even a new ZR1 with good trim goes for $125k.
Of course it’s only 785hp. 0-60 in 2.85 seconds, stops better.

That was my first thought. It’s so powerful it bends the frame. I’ve absolutely got to get one of those.

CBX that six cylinder bike in th e70's? A rather poor joke actually, engineering whiz bang aside. Not all that fast, and lost power as it heated up.
Mostly sounded cool and looked great.
