The main issue is that the young man never lived as part of the Bing family (Hello Chandler). The “born out of wedlock” headline is good click bait though. Had he been a member of the household the “out of wedlock” provision would not apply.

The article cites two illegitimate offspring. Cutting off illegitimate offspring can be a reasonable way to protect the financial legacy - because there may be way more potential heirs, and simply claiming such by anyone he slept with will drain their fortune via legal fees.
