Why is this story here? Did this take place near where you live? Do you know people involved? It made me smile. Thanks for posting, simpson96. Just a little ray of hope for you guys in NOVA.

Its a garbage post with ZERO political, cultural, or worthwhile insights.
I have a hundred FR vanities on sale per day, if you’re interested.
And don’t worry, they are in no danger of extinction.

Oh, cool, since you are here now to judge the worth of all posts, I guess the mods can retire. I’m sure they’ll be relieved!
To: GOPJ
Wrong. It’s of cultural and worthwhile interest to me and others. It’s also of societal interest. Don’t be duch a busybody.

Maybe because its a story of interest? Why do you make an issue of it? Are you a self declared moderator or something or merely a busybody with nothing else to do?

Heh, I was wondering the same thing.

I have seen several people walk out of the local Walmart with shopping carts full of merchandise. The employees ask them to stop, but are prohibited from doing anything else to stop them. Word has gotten out that it is a safe place to shoplift.
I asked my local Giant (supermarket) manager as to why there were all of a sudden new shopping carts when after three months there were hardly any.
He explained to me that people take them home w/ them to the apartments nearby, and they have to collect them every few months, whenever the apartment complexes collect them. I asked why they don't block them from leaving the store area, and he replied, "community goodwill."
Great, I replied, but then I have to come into your store and not find a cart -- and I'm guessing I spend a lot more they those people. Then I asked him how much the carts cost: $300 / ea.
Just more PC bullshit costing me and you money.
