Authorities in Missouri say a woman fatally shot her boyfriend at a home in Fulton on Thursday.
According to Fox News, 37-year-old Kalesha Peterson later told police that she used a .38-caliber handgun while attempting to reenact a movie scene with 36-year-old David Dalton.
She said the two had been drinking and she did not intend to actually shoot the victim, according to a statement from the Fulton Police Department.
A medical examiners report indicated the victim died from a single gunshot wound to the head and police say they found two spent shell casings at the scene.
Peterson advised that at some point Dalton suggested the two play out a scene in the movie that involved a firearm, the news release explained. Peterson advised that the two retrieved a handgun kept in the bedroom to act out the scene.
It was Peterson who called 911 to report the shooting, according to police. Officers conducted a sobriety test confirming that she had been drinking.
The suspect reportedly told police that she was also on a number of medications at the time, some of which could have side effects if taken with alcohol.
Authorities arrested her at the scene on suspicion of felony murder and unlawful use of a weapon. She remained behind bars without bail as of the latest updates available.
In an interview with KOMU, Daltons sister sought justice in the case and dismissed the suspects story.
No, I dont think they were reenacting a movie, Mary Bonner said. That doesnt sound like David at all.

That’s fine. And the judge is going to reenact the movie scene where the murderer gets sentenced to life in prison.
Ouch!
That’s the best thing that a gal like that can do for a fella.
An automatic revolver?
It looks like SHE could be the boyfriend.
Probably a lightweight compact pistol in .380, like a Ruger LCP.
Really wasnt expecting that so early in the morning/week.
I always assumed they used blanks when filming movie scenes. I guess I was wrong.
A blank killed Jon Erik Hexum back in the 8s.
Ive fired a lot of semi automatic weapons Funny thing is not one has gone off without my finger on the trigger, safety (if there is one) off, and a round chambered. Goes back to the first rule of gun ownership. NEVER point a weapon at something or someone you are not willing to kill. Oh and the gun is always loaded. If it is not loaded, see above.
When she proposed the breakout scene from The Deer Hunter, “boyfriend” really should have suspected something. Or did she tell him afterwards?
Very odd. Gunna be fun to hear. She got some 'splanen to do.
LOL. ;o)
Gentlemen, the line forms to the right.
yeah, you dont get spent shell casings from a revolver lying around.
Two.
I don’t see anything in the little round holes in the front of the gun.
