We don't need to worry about communism or socialism as much as democracy. Hugo Chavez maintained democratic elections. He was shrewd enough to understand that all he needed to stay in power was 51%, and he got it in election after election. He did this by robbing from the 49% to give to the 51%.
Democrats today want to create a pure democracy. This is why they fight against the electoral college, the census, voter IDs. Once they get a majority, the minority will never have a voice again, until the collapse.
