I think that’s the real issue. Grownups-with-comic-books is part of the never-ending adolescence you get trying to entertain a society of snowflakes.

Siskel and Ebert said it best years ago when they pointed out that the early film makers made films of great literature because that is what they had been raised on.
Today’s film makers were raised on comic books.
