It’s called having excellent optics.

What would become of an investigation if Session’s immediately announced he was investigating crimes of the former administration?

LOL. It’s called running out the clock.

Did the Democrats care about the “optics” of seditiously assaulting a Presidential candidate and his newly minted admin? Of course not. They just did it. Mueller & his 16 angry Democrats have committed treason. Aided and abetted by the GOP. It’s that simple.

Well at least your comment is sensible. So many here don’t understand. It is also about not giving the democrats a chance to thwart the investigation. If they knew what was going on all this time then they would have employed every method to corrupt the investigation. Including in the media. And by harassment and working the dirty back channels.

I also saw where someone pointed out that the sworn testimony to congress about this investigation was worded in such a way that it was not a lie. The statement to congress said that there was no directive. And there was not. The letter clearly states a “Request” to investigate the mater.

Many here are already falling for the democrats attack on this investigation via the media. That just proves that the DOJ took the right approach. And that Trump is very clever. Now just wait for the indictments.

Sessions is gone. He recused himself and then told Huber to review and report "as appropriate" to the corrupt and compromised DAG, Rosenstein.

What do you think Rosenstein did with any Huber recommendations?

If the elements of proof are there, Sessions would prosecute and win. To think a prosecutor will stroke their chin and say “Gee, I won’t enforce the law because I’m afraid what loonies might say in the press” would be a weak and/or corrupt prosecutor because they are not upholding the Rule of Law and they are violating their oath of office.

If you have a case, you have a case. A ripe and ready case is not deterred by anything if the Rule of Law is in place. In DC courts, the Rule of Law has indeed suffered especially in criminal cases. That is being addressed through judicial replacements. But administration officials who would be charged have taken oaths of allegiance, hence they are statutorily subject to treason which venue can be transferred to military tribunals. DC court jurisdiction may thus be thrown aside.

This President is unafraid of what the liars on the left say about him. He publicly rebuts and shames them. The left is not happy with a President that publicly calls them on the carpet. As a practical person, the President hesitates only to allow case elements and cross projects to merge, then he acts. Because of his clever maneuvering, there are some who miscomprehend and resort to inventing a fiction to fill in gaps with what they choose to believe, not always with what actually happened.
