South Africa fired their white engineers after the black ANC took over. They are perpetually perplexed as to why their entire infrastructure is crumbling. Blackouts. Water quality deterioration. Water shortages. Etc etc etc
Lenin did much the same after the Soviets took over Russia. Only in his case employment as factory managers was based not on race, but rather on class. Janitors were promoted to overseers because anyone could do the job of managing. Before long the Soviet economy was in collapse, counter revolution seemed quite possible; and so Lenin initiated his New Economic Policy, restored some sanity to production, and saved The Revolution...for Stalin.
