True, all of their attempts to remove him have failed.

Keep in mind that Sessions was pretty much forced into taking action.

A request, eh? How proper.
He sure as hell wasn't going to do anything on his own
without outside pressure from Goodlatte and the others.
He would have just sat on his hands otherwise.
