He first came to prominence in the 1971 made for TV movie “Tribes” where he played a hippie Marine Corps recruit at war with his DI played by Darren McGavin. Great things were predicted for him and for a while it seemed it might be true. Sad story.

excellent movie, Darrin McGavin (Night stalker) too. I always remember him for the movie “The Mechanic”
