David Peterson (of the bluegrass band David Peterson and 1946) in a solo performance at The Rock, Rockmart, GA 8/10/12.
Beautiful. Shows you that a great voice needs only a simple backup to really shine. Great message. Thanks for posting.
“He Hideth My Soul,” from 1890, the product of two great Methodist hymn writers. Fanny Crosby, of the John Street Methodist Church in New York City wrote the words—one of about 15,000 hymn texts that she wrote—and William Kirkpatrick of the Wharton Street Methodist Episcopal church in Philadelphia wrote the music. Kirkpatrick would write music for many of the great hymns of the postbellum era including “Hallelujah! Praise Jehovah!” and “Lead Me to Cavalry.”
