Testing later revealed the powder to be a toxic lead acetate, RTL reported. The amount smeared on the sandwich had been enough cause severe organ damage, according to authorities.
Two of the victims, ages 27 and 67, have been left with serious kidney damage from poisoning with lead and cadmium. They also face an increased risk of cancer. The third victim, a 23-year-old trainee, is currently in a vegetative state after falling into a coma.

It’s the proportional control valves and that hysteresis thing!
Pushes them right over the edge.
When noticed they are laterally transferred to some ancient line of pneumatics.
Testing the diaphragm response on a circular stream of valves. And they never seem to notice.
