JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A woman who was arrested after an SUV was stolen Thursday from an Ace Rent a Car on Jacksonville's Northside told News4Jax "the demons took it."
Gardinia McCullough, 23, appeared in court Friday morning on car theft charges, and her bond was set at just over $15,000. She was wearing a red jumpsuit, which indicates to guards in the jail that she needs extra attention, and she was not wearing a long-haired wig that she had on the night she was arrested.
Police said employees of the rental car company found McCullough with the SUV less than a mile away at the Travelodge Inn and Suites on Airport Road.
Surveillance cameras of the business caught a woman wearing the same clothing at the front desk. Moments later, a white Toyota RAV4 is seen driving away.
Marly Rose, the assistant general manager of the company, said the woman was upset because they were overbooked. At the Travelodge Inn and Suites, the woman who was next to the SUV spoke to News4Jax.
"Demons told me to do it," she said. "I didn't take it, the demons took it."
She continued, "I tried to rent it, but y'all didn't want to rent me a car. Y'all talking about how y'all didn't have any cars to rent so I stole y'all's (expletive)."

Sort of off subject but since this is where I live (since 1969) I’ll comment. 1st thing is northside is a rougher part of town, however J’ville is gettin’ rough all over. I’ve been referring to it as “little chicago” for a few years now. I honestly think this town has changed and not for the better since the nfl came here. My wife is a native and as soon as I retire at the end of the year we plan to move out of this city. gettin’ too dangerous for us.

Jerry: I don't think you do. If you did, I'd have a car. See, you know how to take the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation and that's really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. Anybody can just take them.
I think I see what the problem is.

And they let her sue car rental agency she wins but the case never goes to court.

Russians probably beaming rays at the hamburger stand. It’s been around for decades. Sapping American will to even go to hamburger stands. Communists hate cheeseburgers.
And beer we need to zap their vodka.
I am definitely going to be wearing my tinfoil hat next time I visit that hamburger stand.
That way I’ll get napkins on my first trip inside.
They must have zapped the counter girl, too. I asked for ketchup and mustard and she gave me LOTS of packages. About twice what I needed.

Heh, I put the extra packages in the fridge. I use them when I’m cooking or for other food.
That will teach those Russian-hamburger-mind-control-zap-beam-guys.
And keep extra packages in car for emergency never know when the will zap the car in the middle on no where.
