That and they claimed people out of work for over a year had simply “given up” and therefore did not count as unemployed. Oh they never bothered asking these people if they gave up. They just assumed that so they could deny how bad the real unemployment rate actually was.
The whole notion that an educated or trained person would forever more be economically useless because they weren’t employed for a year or two or three in the midst of the worst economy since the Great Depression was always ridiculous. As if they suddenly forgot all their job skills.....or as if jobs suddenly got completely different within a few years. Of course these people can be put back to work. Trump has done it.
