In ancient Vedic texts, yellow is described as sattvic - the mode of goodness, which means knowledge, truth, good intentions, etc.
Red is rajasic - passion, strong and often selfish urges, over-ambition, etc. Blue is tamasic - darkness, ignorance, ill motivation.
Doesn’t mean that some colors are “bad”, just more or less symbolic.
Good one! ‘Sat’ means ‘Truth’ so yellow is the color of truth. ‘Raja’ means royal so Red is the color of royalty.
