Yes, based on former actor Tom Tyron’s novel. It was the heyday of feminism and this story was all about attractive but creepy women, led by a witch-like Bette Davis, running the show, getting wives to humiliate and betray their husbands in public (and getting their teen-aged daughters to go along with it.) Kind of silly with Tyron neglecting to close any of the open doors, leaving the reader (or in this case, the watchers) wondering out loud ‘why doesn’t he just...?’

Tom Tryon’s “The Other” was one of the best novels in that genre I have ever read.
