A bit off topic, but who remembers the Lizzie Borden movie with Elizabeth Montgomery made in about 1975? Was it done originally for TV?

Yes, I remember seeing “The Legend of Lizzie Borden”. I’m pretty sure it was made for TV.

I remember that! It advanced the theory that the reason Lizzie Borden’s clothes had no signs of blood on them (even though the two bloody hatchet murders were hours apart but Lizzie was in the same dress all day) was that she got completely naked to do the murders, washed the blood off of her bare skin and then put the same clothes back on. While I’m sure they used a body double, the image of Elizabeth Montgomery’s silhouette climbing the stairs completely nude with an axe in her hand was salacious enough to keep me fantasizing for months. Can you imagine the way it would be presented these days?
