I remeber it well. The cost overruns were enormous and even 60 Minutes couldn't believe it.

I recall the Colorado governor--who later joined the Clinton administration--had no answers. I'm amazed now that CBS even pursued the story.

$2 BILLION IN COST OVERRUNS in 1994. Over a year in delays. Denver International Airport or DIA. DIA’s footprint is over 53 square miles and from the air the runway configuration looks like a swastika. Bizarre stuff.
