The mistake Flynn made was thinking that he, the Obama Administration, the Obama DOJ, the Obama FBI, the Democrat party and the cowardly Republicans were all working on the same side towards the same end.
He didnt think he had anything to hide (He didn’t!) so he treated it as a conversation with peers and co-workers to clear up any misunderstanding.
He had no idea they were trying to set him up. He thought he was working with Americans.
Good point. Given his previous position(s), I’m thinking he knew the agents that he spoke with or, at least, made a phone call to see what they were all about. Got the thumbs up and said, Sure, I’ll talk to them. We’re all here to protect the good Ol’ US of A. Not get okey-doked and end up getting indicted.
