How many lives have you unthinkingly endangered? Did you even consider it? Do you care? Can you promise the days of the Tuskegee syphilis experiment are behind us?
Free will is kind of an important tenet in America. If you have to use force to accomplish a goal, then your goal very likely is not a noble one.
Make vaccines better and people will flock to them. Use force to disseminate them and force will be returned to you. Very few here are diametrically opposed to vaccines. Hell, most of us have probably attended a chicken-pox party. We've just seen too many coincidences, and read too many studies sponsored by drug companies, and seen too many of our congressman bought by lobbyists to have blind faith anymore. It's time to improve the system and, for the well-being of our children, this is a good hill to die on if needs be. Our resistance, our efforts, our demands for transparency can make vaccines better. By and large, that is our goal. Maybe some day, you'll look back and thank those who didn't just get in line, who didn't just do what they were told, who refused to cave to cyberbullying and fear mongering. Maybe. We'll try to give you a reason too.
