I wonder if the problems with Brietbart moderators or with the Disqus service.. I swear to God that Disqus is also moderating customer website comments surreptitiously.
That’s an interesting question and I wondered the same thing, so I went to my Disqus account, where they still reside, and looked. My comments on Breitbart were the only ones deleted - every single one of them, including:
“Fred Rogers was a nice guy, but no, he wasn’t a SEAL, a Ranger, a Recon Marine, etc. Just a nice guy.”
...
“Finally! An ignorant progressive steps in and shows his/her abject stupidity.
Senator Robert C. Byrd, Senator Al Gore, Sr., Senator J. William Fulbright, etc., filibustered the 1964 Civil Rights Act and it was only passed because the vast majority of Republicans voted FOR it. Senator Robert C. Byrd, former Grand Kleegle of the KKK in West Virginia, whom Hillary called her “mentor” and the “conscience of the Senate”. Senator J. William Fulbright, Bill Clinton’s mentor.
And don’t get me started on Lyndon Baines Johnson...”
And, I suspect, the offending comment...
“I’m with you, Breitbart screwed up big time when they let Raheem Kassam go. With the exception of Andrew himself, Raheem was the best they’ve had; pulled no punches, took no prisoners. What conservatism does not need right now is equivocation and pretending that the arguments of the right and left are both valid. There is such a thing as objective truth. Dr. Marlowe’s husband (I’m tired of hearing that his wife’s a doctor) reveals his left-coast upbringing far too often.”
For those who claim that I was banned because I criticized them on their own media - which is probably true, that’s rather akin to kicking someone out of your restaurant for complaining about the service or the food. I run a $25 million-plus business unit and I provide a means for my clients to provide recommendations, criticism and general input and I do so for a reason. And, while I don’t relish criticism, I recognize the value of it. My job is to generate a profit and, should I refuse delivery of legitimate feedback from those who take advantage of my goods and services, I’m probably not long for my job.
