The millennium tower, the salesforce tower and the new transportation center are all showing some signs of failure or at least manufacturing defects - they sure do know how to build things out there - Wouldn’t want to be anywhere near downtown SF when an earthquake hits thats for sure.
The problem is that the area of SF where these buildings are located are actually where they filled in over the rotting ships that brought the gold miners here in 1849. They talk about “bedrock,” there isn’t any unless you go way, way down. When they excavated for BART years ago, it was like digging in an Indian burial ground.
