This is an appalling story. Read the full account. Something really dark is at the bottom of the motivation of a husband and child to collaborate in murdering his wife and her mother. Even by current debauched standards this is a shocking case.

There’s a deep sickness spreading everywhere these days. I just read a story in the Boston Globe about a 71-year-old man in Vermont who raped his 93-year-old mother-in-law on her death bed in a hospice. A nurse caught him in the act.
I can’t wrap my head around that kind of evil.
