We have a rather plump Siamese blend that has never missed a meal in her life, and has never been outside other than a few doors left open and a meek walk around the front deck.

The point is the cat has never had any bird or any other rodent training other than the occasional roach.

But one day a sparrow got in the house as I came in from the garage. My wife and a few guests were in kitchen and we all got quite a show.

The sparrow never even got to the other side of the room. That fat cat lept from the couch and nailed it in mid-air and did not keep a prisoner. It was all over in less than two seconds.

It was truly a sight to behold. My wife and guests were terrified. I was proud and at the same time marveled at that cat’s God given instincts, and never quite looked at that “fat” cat quite the same way again.

A lesson for us about Kim Jong-Un. /sarc

Seriously, that must have been quite a show. Cats are amazingly strong and athletic, in spite of all their sleeping.
