An 11-year-old Suitland, Maryland, girl has been charged with first-degree child abuse after police said she assaulted a 1-year-old boy left alone in her care and he died from his injuries several days later. Prince Georges County police identified the boy as Paxton Davis, of Southeast D.C. Police said the baby had been left last weekend with the girls mother, who was a family friend of the babys mother. When the girls mom went to run an errand the next morning, she left the 11-year-old alone at home with the baby boy, police said. When other family members returned home, they found the baby unresponsive and called 911. The baby, who was rushed to the hospital, died four days later on Feb. 28. The girl has admitted to officers that she assaulted the baby

Terrible. Many times, the compulsion to injure or kill something helpless is hidden, so the guilty child’s parent do not know just how sick their child has become.
Now, at least two families have been destroyed and changed forever.
Decades ago we lived near a large city in the NE. We had an older washing machine we didnt need so we listed an ad. A Social Worker called and said she wanted to buy it for her client if I would help deliver it as I had a pick up. We went to the home on Saturday morning. The mother was out. There were two kids there who could not have been over 5 years old. Alone. The place was an absolute mess. Every horizontal surface was buried two feet deep in dirty dishes, empty food containers, dirty laundry. The floors had not been swept in years, there was dust and trash inches deep in every corner. How in the world this woman who got paid to see to it that this mother took care of her children could allow what I observed to happen disgusted me more than just about anything I can remember. This is what 7 decades of The Great Society has produced. We have bred millions of useless people.

Why aren’t the parents charged too?
I saw similar in a place I wasvisiting one time the couple was so excited to have taken in this little girl, had fostered other children yet their refridgerators (2) packed full of drippy oozesfood spoiling and fresh mixed together, kitchen counters etc completely cluttered sticky. Bathroom, rest of house was cluttered and unclean that some places just had pathways. I wondered how they ever got approved being they just got the very young girl a week or two before. Habits like that do not happen in a week, it was their lifestyle.
I wonder where she learned that behavior.
Like a woman who does that and lives like that is going to do the laundry.
How were those babies not put in foster care? She left them ALONE. The social worker saw it.
I don’t understand it, either. I have friends who adopted two little girls, the husband’s great-nieces, a few years ago. They live in a trailer home, not fancy but a totally decent place to live. They had to make a number of changes before they were allowed to adopt. “Clean” wasn’t enough.
They also had to go through background checks and the like although both of them work jobs that require that, anyway.
You are right about the lifestyle. I was in a home a couple of years ago that was very hoarded and dirty. The woman said “I haven’t got around to cleaning lately.” From the looks of the place, she hadn’t cleaned any time this millenium.
I bought a house for renting. One tenant was not to have animals by probate order. She did, and I made a 2:00 a.m. check and found the dog, which has pooped everywhere. The little child was sitting in the poop, eating cereal with flies everywhere. I called the police. Social services took the child. The mother had rights terminated. She is still mad at me. Screw that. I could care less.
What she taught, in her own home, to lash out in anger at a situation SHE cannot CONTROL? Is that a learned response, either by examples she was shown, or by adult failures to correct that in her?
and a lot of them are white trash......
Trash is trash regardless the color of the bag.
If this was in NY, they would have chastised YOU for reporting it. These agencies go for the low hanging fruit. Investigating REAL abuse is too dangerous and too politically incorrect.
They prefer to persecute (usually) white males on their parenting time at the direction of a high conflict biomom.
Ask me how I know this? My hub’s ex-shrew was a CPS worker and now tells foster parents how to parent. She can’t parent herself and all three of my husband’s alienated children are abject failures in life due to her machinations, all with a a wink from the NYS court system.
You took away her income stream.
Bad seed?
Just who the hell leaves a 10 year old girl to watch a baby???
When I was her age my Aunt had my cousin. My Aunt would allow me to hold him as a baby but only under her or my Grandma’s strict supervision!
These people allowed a 10 year old to be around a baby unsupervised? The adults out to be horse whipped!
Perfectly stated.
For far too many ‘foster care parents’——that money paid by the system to ‘care for’ the kids is their INCOME.
yup, bad seed
