I do have a metal detector and have used it many times over the years. I must say though that a trip to wallmart or the local grocery store has yielded my best finds in the last couple years. PM me and I will freely share the secret with q folks here. People are stupid an I have proof.
I used to metal detect in South Carolina when I was stationed there. I found playgrounds, church parking lots, and a closed down elementary school were prime pickings for finding silver.
