Have you looked at the images on your search engine? The artery almost touches the inner ear.
It’s amazing that everyone doesn’t have this issue. Maybe we are born with a “programming sub-routine” in our brain that allows us to ignore it, and some of us have somehow managed to switch it off.
It’s also possible that it is very widespread, and we just don’t know it yet.
I’ve had dogs all my life, until lately.
Almost every one died of old age (not put down) and I kept them all going and happy until they passed....then had to bury them (cats too)
They say that grief is cumulative....can’t do it anymore.
NSAIDs, Aspirin, Ibuprofen, naproxin, et al, are known to aggravate tinnitus...................
I lost hearing in one ear from an acoustic nueroma benign tumor last year and it threw me for a loop.
The deaf ear is 100% deaf on a nerve level but I still “hear” tinnitus ringing on the deaf side like my ear is against a sea shell sound. It is the damnedest thing.
In my case i stumbled onto a similar solution 0 white noise generating radio makes me sleep. In my case it is acoustic nueroma related. The deaf ear rings - probably the nerve endings that have been cut from the ear looking for a signal. But hearing the white noise from my working ear drowns out the deaf ear buzzing so I can sleep.
The worst is trying to get to sleepusually I am so tired it doesnt matter but if I am rested its terrible as I like a completely dark, completely silent bedroom so I can hear what is goign on both in and outside the house.
Worse thing you can do! You need back ground noise to sleep properly. Use a small fan to generate some white noise and you’ll sleep like a baby.
Akin to the ‘ghost limb’ of an amputee.
The nerve endings are still there and firing at random intervals creation ‘noise’ like a TV tuned to a non broadcasted channel..............
I have that and when I turn my head left and right the sound changes drastically.
Yes! The “sounds” have gotten less intense since my surgery.
Eventually, the brain will ‘turn off’ those nerve endings and then you will have ...........
