Lincoln Police cited a man who they say admitted he put pieces of wet paper all over his neighbor's car.
LPD said a 28-year-old man reported on Monday the paper was put on his car in the 4600 block of Tipperary Trail.
The victim believed his neighbor was responsible, as the two had prior disputes, according to Lincoln Police.
The neighbor, identified as Dana Turner, told police he had done it because the car was parked on the wrong side of the road during the snow parking ban.
When officers asked why he didn't call them to resolve the issue, Turner reportedly said he "didn't think of it," and that police probably had "other things to do."
The victim told police it took him hours to scrape all the paper off his vehicle.
Turner was cited for disturbing the peace.

If a window was open a crack he could have filled it with water

The dummy who spent hours scraping frozen paper (and paint) off of his car gets an F though. I'm pretty sure Lincoln, NE has some hot water car washes.

The actual drive to the car wash would be an adventure
I turned the defrosters on, boiled water, poured it over iced-over windows, and cleared them with the wipers and an ice-scraper.
Good thing you didn’t crack your glass.
He might have to.scrape a square on all sides, admittedly.
One cold warning I was walking down to the train station to go to work and as I was walking thru the neighborhood a young lady came out of her house with a boiling pot of water. She was just about ready to pour that boiling water on her frosted windshield.
I told her if she did that the window would crack like an egg. She asked me if that was true and I said yes I wouldn’t advise it. I guess I saved her from a eventful morning to say the least.
Prestone (and others I’m sure) make a spray can of instant de-icer. The stuff is amazing - melts the ice, and yes, in an instant! Doesn’t soften it - just turns it to slush. I’m careful not to get it on the paint - but I’m guessing it is probably okay on paint to a degree or they would have pulled it off the market.
