Correction: This story was revised to correct a summary that should have said the Bureau of Economic Analysis measured 2018 growth at 2.9 percent, matching the peak Obama enjoyed in 2015. It also was updated to reflect other measures of GDP growth.

I looked at the article again, but this time noticed the note at the bottom saying the numbers are wrong. Also peak the Obama "enjoyed" followed a quarter of negative economic growth. Going from negative to positive economic growth overstates the growth in the following quarter and distorts that annual average. Still, the article appears to me to be unchanged, as does the headline, even thought they know the main premise is wrong. To me, it's still a blatant case of fake news.
