Toni Harris became the first female football player at a skill position to sign a letter of intent for a football scholarship on Tuesday when she committed to Central Methodist University in Missouri.
The Detroit native currently plays free safety for East Los Angeles Community College. Harris took to Twitter to announce the news.
"Such a cry baby but I'm ready for my new journey @CMUEaglesFB!"

Harris is 5-foot-7, 164-pounds. Hopefully she won't get injured playing against the guys.

Irregardless or weight or gender, she is giving up at least 4 inches to the average receiver. Hope she has kangaroo hops and cheetah speed.

If she gets on the field with the big boys, she should expect to get hit.

Sounds like a publicity stunt for the school.

Prediction: Her “career” ends in a particularly hard, but legit, hit. She then sues the school and league.

In the interest of gender equality, I hope the guy will not hold back with her in the game.

This thread is worthless without a picture of the female football player. So here she is.

 (Just kidding...maybe.)

That's so 50's attitude. It ain't the fifties and "wymen can do everything," including bleeding a lot on the turf.

(I agree with you. I played football and females shouldn't be on the opposite team)

Safety may be the safest position on the field for her. Blocks below the waist beyond 5 yards of the line of scrimmage are now illegal in NCAA football and females’ knees are much weaker than males’. She will not be in man coverage a lot and will probably struggle the most trying to tackle bigger running backs or tight ends who caught passes. Teams playing against her will send out 2 tight ends or larger slot receivers. I’m guessing she’s fast, which would be really the only reason to have her out there. She’s a little short and light for any kind of safety. If she can run, I’d make her a corner and take my chances.

The women who play in the -----league (I forgot the name) actually play pretty good. But it's an all women's league, not" mixed sets"

It aint nice to hit girls. Tough $#!+. If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch.
Feminism has destroyed all that old-fashioned "be gentle with the girls" stuff.
